In 1933, the local community held an election to pass an initiative to continue the school. Then in 1962, the school became a member of the Arizona Junior College system. In the 1960’s the school experienced significant growth and accepted additional students. Because of the growth, the school purchased the farmland near the main location to extend their school’s campus.
Then in 1972, the school built a fine arts center in the new campus. In the 1988 school year, Eastern Arizona College celebrated its centennial anniversary. As recently as 2012, after 10 years of applying, Eastern Arizona College started offering bachelor degree programs in affiliation with other schools, including Arizona State University.
